After delivering sincere performances last year in Disney+ Hotstar’s thriller movie ‘A Thursday’ followed by Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘Dasvi’, Yami Gautam is all set for her next acting project in an intriguing film titled ‘Lost’. Last week, it was revealed that the social thriller will start streaming on the Zee5 OTT platform from 16th February 2023. And now, the film’s trailer has also been unveiled.
Said to be inspired by true events and set in the city of Kolkata, ‘Lost’ trailer starts off with a statistic that 885 people go missing in India every day. The trailer features Yami Gautam in the role of an upright and courageous reporter named Vidhi, who investigates the case of a boy named Ishan, who has been missing for two weeks. The cops are unable to determine whether the boy is missing or absconding. The fearless crime reporter attempts to unearth the truth behind the mystery but faces fierce resistance from some elements.
Besides Yami Gautam in the main role, ‘Lost’ also features veteran performer Pankaj Kapur, the underrated actor Rahul Khanna, and Neil Bhoopalam in pivotal roles. The film’s trailer is well cut, and the goings-on hold the viewers’ interest throughout the trailer.
Besides the intriguing premise, another interesting thing about ‘Lost’ is that the investigative thriller has been helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. His last directorial feature film was the critically acclaimed and gripping courtroom drama ‘Pink’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. So, expectations will be high for ‘Lost’ as well.
Previously, ‘Lost’ was also showcased at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival where the film received a standing ovation from the festival audiences. Let’s see how well the film is received by OTT audiences after its release on Zee5 on 16th February.
