Louis Leterrier To Direct Fast And Furious 11, The Series Finale!

Louis Leterrier has been officially announced as the director for the 11th installment of the ‘Fast And Furious’ franchise.

The filmmaker is known for his decorated filmography that include critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies like Transporter, The Incredible Hulk or Now You See Me. Louis Leterrier will wrap up the franchise with Fast And Furious 11 being the grand Finale of the series.

Justin Lin was the planned director for both the tenth and eleventh films of the series but reportedly there were some problems between him and Vin Diesel, the lead of the series. Louis Leterrier replaced Justin Lin to direct Fast X under dramatic circumstances and now he will be directing Fast And Furious 11 as well.

Universal Pictures head Peter Cramer and other producers think that Louis has really upped the game with Fast X and he has elevated the level of the series with high quality action and storytelling and it will be a good thing that he wraps up the whole series.

In Fast X we will get to see Dominic Toretto and his family going into their most terrific, dangerous and personal mission of the series. An old foe who wants to take revenge from Dom and his family wants to destroy everybody he loves. The film has actors like Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron returning for their roles and also some new faces like Brie Larson and Alan Richtson. The film will be released on the 19th of May.

Starting with ‘The Fast And The Furious’ in 2001, it went on to be one of the most popular and successful franchises of the world. Though it’s films are trashed by critics time and time again, it has gained immense popularity over the time and the end of the series is really going to be a full stop to a huge franchise.
