When it comes to mass appeal shows then there is hardly a platform that comes close to Prime Video. Obviously, we are not talking about “Indian Police Force” here but hey, they have Panchayat, The Family Man, Farzi and many more.
But time and again Binged emphasized the growing demand for documentaries that seem to have captured the hearts of the people. Indian people are getting more and more interested in documentaries and it is a change we must acknowledge.
We have traced it down in our articles below
Documentaries: Netflix Single Handedly Pulling Up Higher
Regardless, Love Storiyaan has been released on the auspicious occasion of Valentine’s Day. It also happens to be Basant Panchami today and in many Indian cultures, love birds express their feelings on this day.
So there could hardly be a better day for Love Storiyaan. It is just that we wished the documentary to be better than what it is.
Just watch the half of the first episode of the series and you will know what we are talking about. A documentary needs narration, good background music, good editing and so many more things that a film editor can let you know of.
It looks as if Prime Video just put together all the different clips of interviews in a sequential manner, with no extra effort put in. On the other hand, look at Netflix documentaries whose trailers are better than the whole series on Prime Video. We are not talking about the crime documentary series alone. Just take the case of The Romantics. It is not an extraordinary series but still so much better than something like Love Storiyaan.
Nice attempt, but there are an insane lot of things that Prime Video must learn before they attempt to make another documentary.
But, should you watch Love Storiyaan on Prime Video?
Well, you may if you are struggling to find anything better.
