Loving Start Up? Watch Nam Joo-Hyuk’s Other K-Drama Masterpieces

By Binged Bureau - Oct 28, 2020 @ 03:10 pm

Start Up is already setting records within its two weeks of release. But this has been a weekly affair, a K-Drama fan or even the Start Up fans have to wait a whole week to get a glimpse of the next episodes. With phenomenal actors like Nam Joo-hyuk and Bae Suzy leading the show, it is a treat to the eyes in these times.

Nam Joo-hyuk has been garnering attention with his nerdy, innocent looks in this show and his comic timing has been applauded a lot more. This isn’t the first time he has been praised for his performance. He has given us an array of dramas to binge watch with the same aura that can melt away her heart. Here we have a list of Nam Joo-hyuk’s dramas that one can binge upon till we get the next episode of Start Up.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (Netflix)

Playing the lead role here, Nam Joo-hyuk plays the role of a swimmer who desires to be helmed as one of Korea’s best and also join the National Swimming team. He has an amazing comedic timing and his playful character has a lot of depth that makes this drama so lovable.

The School Nurse Files (Netflix)

Based on a bestselling webtoon of the same name, this series is just 6 episodes long, which is a rarity in the K-Drama world, but is a perfect binge-worthy series with some really cute jelly monsters. Paired along with the legendary actress Jung Yu-mi, Nam Joo-hyuk plays the role of a school teacher who joins hands with Jung Yu-mi in killing the jelly monsters that takeover the school.

The Bride of Habaek (Netflix)

Another fantasy drama, here Nam Joo-hyuk plays the role of 2800 year old Water God who has come out of his realm into this human world, to search for the stones that will deem him the king of all the four Godly Kingdoms. In doing so, he ends up also finding his true “human” love and stays behind with her to be with her for the rest of her life. (Since, he is a God here, he can’t die and will be with her till her last breathe)

The Light in Your Eyes (Netflix)

This is a moving, emotional piece where all the actors do perfect justice perfectly to the roles they play. Nam Joo-hyuk again leads the show as a man named Lee Joon-ha who has lost all hopes and his dreams due to his ongoing family problems. A reporter in the making, he drops everything and spends his time in elderly care house where he finds the purpose of his life. This show is listed as one of Korean TV’s highly rated dramas in history.

Who Are You: School 2015 (Netflix)

Another phenomenal drama about few teenagers, whose lives change when things go out of the way for them. Set in a school premise, their stories are more than what a normal school student would go through. Nam Joo-hyuk is the leading man in this series and efficiently carries out his role making the audience love him even more.
