M. Night Shyamalan’s Next Movie Release Date And Title Revealed

After the somewhat mixed feedback from his latest directorial film ‘Old’, the undisputed master of twist endings M. Night Shyamalan has teased his fans about his next thriller film project. Just a couple of hours back, the acclaimed filmmaker shared an ultra-short video just mentioning the film’s new theatrical release date i.e., 3rd February 2023 (earlier it was 17th February 2023). The cryptic teaser video also featured a knock-knock background sound, thereby alluding to the film’s title but did not mention it.

M. Night Shyamalan has partnered again with Universal Pictures for the fifth time in a row for his next film. After Shyamalan’s release date announcement, Universal was quick to reveal the film’s title: ‘Knock at the Cabin’. Before this, Shyamalan and Universal had collaborated for his directorial projects namely ‘The Visit’ (2015), ‘Split’ (2017), ‘Glass’ (2019), and his most recent film ‘Old’ (2021). ‘Old’ has garnered over $90 million at the box office.

Back in August end, M. Night Shyamalan had shared an image of a file folder that contained the film’s draft script. The post was marked with the words “The next one. On third draft. Super tight. Under a 100 pages.”

M. Night Shyamalan had also expressed his admiration and appreciation when eminent Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan opted for Universal Pictures (instead of Warner Bros.) amongst multiple studios for his next directorial film ‘Oppenheimer’ which is based on the father of the atomic bomb – ‘J. Robert Oppenheimer’.

The Indian origin American filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan is well known for directing supernatural thrillers such as ‘The Sixth Sense’, ‘Unbreakable’, and ‘Signs’. Considering his repertoire of cinematic works, all eyes are now on the filmmaker’s next project ‘Knock at the Cabin’ that’s slated to release on 3rd February 2023.
