R Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath starrer Maarais going to skip its theatrical released and stream online on Amazon Prime Video from January 8th. It is the official remake of Malayalam blockbuster, Charlie (2015) starring Dulquer Salman. Shraddha in an interview showered praises on her costar.
“He is truly a masterclass when it comes to acting. It amazes everyone how he is involved in each aspect of the project and kind of treats it a round-the-clock job. He takes care of everything about filmmaking and not just his part,” the actress said. The movie was first announced in 2016 but it got delayed due to various releases and is finally seeing the light on OTT.
Directed by a newcomer, Dhilip Kumar, the makers claim that it is not a remake of Charlie but is an adaptation. But then, the recently released trailer gave a very similar feeling to Charlie. It is no easy to recreate the magic of a film like Charlie. Let us see what Maara has in store for the audience.
