Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath starrer Maara was supposed to release on December 17th on Amazon Prime Video. Just two days to go before the release, it has been announced that the movie is postponed to January 8th, 2021. Neither the makers nor the OTT platform revealed the reason behind the postponement.
Whatever might be the reason, it has come as the best decision in the interest of the film. The movie has absolutely no buzz whatsoever in the audience. It is stunning that the makers including the cast have abandoned the film. The OTT platform also did not promote the film.
Maara is the official Tamil remake of Malayalam blockbuster, Charlie starring Dulquer Salman. The film was first announced in 2017 but took all this while to materialize due to various issues. It looks like there is some problem for the cast with the makers as well that they abandoned the film completely. Amazon Prime Video needs to give it a massive push to take it to the audience since it is a proven subject and has got a notable cast. Let us see what is in store for the movie ahead of the Sankranthi release.
