Talented Actor Madhavan has no hit after his Sensational Vikram Vedha in 2017. He has four releases after that without tasting success. His last film – Nishabdham in Telugu (Silence in Tamil) skipped its theatrical release and released online directly on Amazon Prime Video. The movie could not impress the audience.
One more film of him, Maara (Tamil) is releasing on the same platform without releasing in theaters. It is the remake of the Malayalam film Charlie (2015) by Martin Prakkat. Dulquer Salman stared in the Original which was a hit back when it released.
Madhavan will be pinning all his hopes on this movie to cheer up his admirers. The film is scheduled to Premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 17th December 2020 as Christmas Special. The movie directed by Dhilip Kumar has Shraddha Srinath as the female lead.
Maara is all about a woman who runs away from home to avoid getting married and rents a room to stay. She finds a sketchbook of the previous occupant, which reveals an incomplete story, and decides to find the artist. The rest is about the various shades in the artist’s life-style.
