Amazon Prime Video’s next direct-to-OTT feature film ‘Maara’ is all set to launch on the platform on 8th January, 2021. Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath starrer ‘Maara’ is the official Tamil remake of the 2015 Malayalam film ‘Charlie’ by Martin Prakkat that starred Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy in the lead roles.
An Amazon Original Movie ‘Maara’ is a romantic drama film and marks the directorial début of Dhilip Kumar who has co-written it with Bipin. The film has been produced by Prateek Chakravorty and Shruti Nallappa of Pramod Films.
Other than Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath, ‘Maara’ also stars Sshivada Nair, Alexander Babu and Mouli. M Ghibrin has composed music for the film and the cinematography has been handled by Dinesh Krishnan and Karthik Muthukumar.
While earlier ‘Maara’ was supposed to release on 17th December, it has now been pushed to 8th January as announced by Amazon Prime Video through their social media handles.
After the massive success of Suriya starrer ‘Soorarai Pottru’, it wouldn’t be easy for ‘Maara’ to match the expectations of the viewers especially the Tamil movie buffs, given that the star value does not work its magic in a direct-to-digital release.
Get ready to feel the romance with ‘Maara’ coming only on Amazon Prime Video on 8th January, 2021.
