“First time was so nice, I had to do it twice,” the iconic Anthony Joshua line fits perfectly as Madame Web nicely kills off all your expectations; even Morbius has competition now. But there is a recent update that is making the fans shiver in fear.
There might be a budding sequel of Madame Web.
The news is not official, but during a recent interview, Dakota Johnson made some comments which are enough to ignite the sequel fantasy of the fans. In several interviews ahead of the film’s release, she talked about the chance of it becoming a fully fledged franchise.
When she was asked about if we can see her comeback if the makers plan to shoot a sequel, her answer was clear: “If they want me to come back then I definitely will,” Johnson claimed. “I have no idea what’s in store.”
Talking about Madame Web, the film opened with abysmal reviews, strongly competing with Morbius, and in some categories, beating it flawlessly. The ratings, at least this time, do reflect the quality of it.
Releasing in India tomorrow, the film currently has 3.8 on IMDb and 16% on Rotten Tomatoes, having one of the worst runs for a Marvel Film. Now, this puts a questionable gaze over Sony’s Spider-Man universe; it’s either a big hit or a massive miss, nothing lies in between.
