Now, it looks like Madhuri Dixit is on a roll. Reports are coming in that Madhuri Dixit has apparently signed her next web project. This is going to be a feature film from Amazon Prime Video and is tentatively titled “Mere Paas Maa Hai” at the moment. The movie is being directed by Anand Tiwari who has helmed movies like “Love Per Square Foot” earlier for Netflix and Amazon’s super hit series “Bandish Bandits”
The movie is being produced by Anand Singh Bindra’s Still & Still Collective Media and is supposed to start its production by this year. The movie is touted to be a family drama. Amazon Prime Video has been doing immensely well with its slate of Indian web series, which has proven to be super hits one after the other. Now, the streaming platform has started to venture into Bollywood movies too, with production as well as creating feature films.
Amazon Prime Video’s recent Bollywood venture was in the news when they announced they have associated themselves with Akshay Kumar’s “Ram Setu”. That being said, the platform will now start investing in feature films and Amazon original films, which will directly see its release on the streaming platform. Netflix has been doing this in India for quite some time now and with Amazon upping the game like this, it will be interesting to see how they compete in the Indian Market.
As for Madhuri Dixit’s upcoming movie, nothing more has been revealed. The movie looks like it will come out after the release of her first OTT project which is “Finding Anamika”.
