‘The Bride’ directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal has got a new release date now. It will hit the theaters on the 26th of September next year. The movie was previously slated for release on the 3rd of October but Warner Bros. have decided to change the dates now.

The movie will be the adaptation of the 1935 classic ‘Bride Of Frankenstein’. Christian Bale plays the role of Frankenstein’s monster and Jessie Buckley plays the role of the bride. The new movie will not be an absolute remake but a loose adaptation of the original story.

According to the description by the makers, it will be about “a lonely Frankenstein travel to 1930s Chicago to seek the aide of a Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman and the Bride is born. She is beyond what either of them intended, igniting a combustible romance, the attention of the police and a wild and radical social movement.”

‘The Bride!’ will also have actors like Penelope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, and Annette Bening. Jake Gyllenhaal too will have a major role in the movie.
