Maharaja Great Or Lame? Audiences Divided Over VJS50!

The Tamil crime drama ‘Maharaja’ released yesterday and had a huge opening at the box office. This is the 50th film of ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, so it is indeed special for fans of the star. But a new controversy Is rising up as audiences are not able to be on the same page regarding the accuracy of the censor certificate.

‘Maharaja’ is two hours and twenty two minutes long, and it has been given a ‘U/A’ certificate by the censor board. The ‘U/A’ certificate means that it can be viewed by audiences of all ages. But Some viewers have complained that it is not a child-friendly movie at all, and the certification has been all wrong. YouTubers and some social media influencers have posted about the movie and said that people should go to theaters and watch Maharaja with family.

At the same time, Maharaja is having rage reviews and is being tagged as one of the best Indian films of the year, with an extraordinary screenplay and amazing performance. But audiences are divided on that too. Some say that the movie is not that special and it is just another forgettable action drama which was ambitious but could not balance the elements of storytelling.

X users are calling influencers out for giving reviews which say Maharaja is child friendly, where actually the movie is too bloody and gory. While the certification of the movie can be debated, you can enjoy the movie in theaters now if you are not bothered by blood and gore and if you have trust in the name Vijay Sethupathi as well.
