SonyLIV has dropped the trailer of its much awaited second season of ‘Maharani’ and its bigger, bolder and a lot more layered this time. Created by Subhash Kapoor, ‘Maharani’ season two will premiere only on SonyLIV on 25th August, 2022.
‘Maharani’ season 2 trailer begins with a provocative speech from a political leader talking about a Verma commission and the caste discrimination in the society. Turns out a young boy takes the sacrifice the leader was asking for from the people quite literally and lights himself up.
Next up there are reports of the misrule during Rani Bharti’s government in Bihar where there are scandals like the murder of Miss Patna contest winner who was also seen with Baahubali MLA Dulari Yadav.
But that’s not the only issue Rani Bharti is facing, the opposition and her own husband is busy conspiring against her. On the other hand Navin Kumar has taken the help of technology and data to understand where he had gone wrong in his fight for the CM’s position for past 17 years.
He has discovered that it’s religion that’s above food, employment and pride of caste and is now set to use it to sway people of Bihar in his favour. But the politics in Bihar is much more complicated than any leader from any party is able to understand and Rani Bharti is ready to take the unconventional route to deliver her best for the state and its public.
