Mail is the latest web series which is going to be premiered on the Regional 100% Telugu OTT platform, Aha Video. The web series is going to be premiered for Sankranthi and the makers have released the first look teaser.
Mail is set in 2005 in a small village, Kambhalapalli. Priyadarshi plays the owner of a computer gaming center that allows children to play games paying ten rupees an hour. Those are the days computers are just coming to the villages.
Harshith Malgireddy plays a teenager who is interested in learning how to operate a computer from Priyadarshi. He is introduced to the world of computers by Priyadarshi, beginning with creating his first mail id.
The little teaser takes us on a nostalgic trip to the early days of computers. The gaming centers used to be busy hubs, with children and teenagers lining up to play games. Computer center owners, even with their meager knowledge, used to feel like an elite class and that is seen in Priyadarshi’s character. The eagerness in the children and the anxiety to learn is portrayed in Harshith’s character. The final shot of Priyadarshi looking away asking Harshith to set a password while the latter is confused will bring smiles on the faces of 90s kids.
The teaser of Mail takes 90s kids down the memory lane of olden (golden) days. The teaser is brilliant and if the web series is on similar lines, Aha Video has a winner in hand. Written and Directed by Uday Gurrala, Mail has Sweekar Agasthi composing the music. The web series comes from the stables of Swapna Cinemas.
