Major Changes From The Comics For Joker 2 That You Should Know

The shooting for the sequel of the Oscar winning ‘Joker’ has started and it is named ‘Joker: Folie À Deux’. Folie à deux, in French, means madness shared by two. So, very naturally there will be the character of Harley Quinn too to share the madness with Arthur Fleck.

As it is known to all by now, Lady Gaga is playing Harley Quinn, but there are certain changes that are being made in the story. According to the comics, and the Suicide Squad films too, Harley Quinn is actually a doctor in the Arkham Asylum named Harleen Quinzel. And she is appointed for giving therapy to the Joker. Joker starts manipulating her and driving her to the edge of madness. But here, in the Joker sequel, the story is a bit different. Harley Quinn Is not a therapist in Arkham here. She is locked in the asylum along with Arthur Fleck. Joker and Harley Quinn meet in Arkham and they become close Associates and try to escape from the asylum.

It is also probable that after Joker earned huge notoriety for his actions in the first movie, he got many followers and impersonators too. Harley Quinn can be one of his admirers and it is possible that she locks herself in Arkham Asylum to meet and rescue Arthur Fleck. And Arthur a.k.a Joker manages to manipulate her mind and drives her insane.

It is a major change in the plot and it will affect the progress of the story as well. Joker went up to be one of the most successful and appreciated movies and its sequel has huge potential too, fans are excited for the release. Hopefully ‘Joker: Folie À Deux’ will be able to live up to the expectations and justify all changes to the original comics story.
