The second season of Showtime’s ‘Yellowjackets’ is just over and there is one more big news to startle the fans. There will soon be a bonus episode for the show. Ashley Lyle, the co-creator of ‘Yellowjackets’, has confirmed that the bonus episode will stream before the premiere of the third season.
The third season of the show was renewed in December last year and the second season premiered this March. The show has grown a huge fan base and it is one of the most successful shows of the year. The season finale of the second season was Showtime’s second most streamed season finale and only ‘Dexter: New Blood’ is on top of it.
With a surprise death and too many hostile proceedings of the story, the season 2 of ‘Yellowjackets’ did not leave the audiences very much satisfied. So, the makers have decided to stream an episode between the second and third season.
The show tells the story of a girls soccer team that gets into a plane crash and the surviving members find themselves in a deserted Island. They have to survive while there are many lurking dangers and some members are resorting to cannibalism as well. Yellowjackets is created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and stars a plethora of actors. The cast includes Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Ella Purnell, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole and many others. The performances are praised by fans and critics and the show is building its fan base all over the world. With the surprise of the bonus episode, the fans are excited and it will definitely help the success of the third season; but only if the episode satisfies them.
