Makers Have Plans For 12 Season Run For One Piece

One Piece, the live-action adaptation of the popular manga and anime series by Eiichiro Oda, has been a huge hit for Netflix since its premiere on August 31, 2023. The series follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of pirates as they search for the legendary treasure One Piece and aim to become the King of the Pirates.

The series has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike, who praised its faithful adaptation, diverse casting, action sequences, humour, and emotional moments.

But the fans are already eager to know if there will be a second season and how many more seasons can they expect from the series the creators of the series, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios, revealed their hopes and plans for the future of the series.

Adelstein said that they have hopes for 12 seasons, as there is so much material to cover from the manga. Clements added that they have plans with Matt Owens, the writer of the series, for how they would break multiple seasons, and that even if they did six seasons, they would probably only use up half of the chapters of the manga. She also said that they could easily do six seasons or more.

The manga, which started in 1997 and is still ongoing, has over 1,080 chapters and 100 volumes as of September 2023. The manga is divided into several sagas and arcs, each with its own storylines, characters, and locations. The first season of the series covers the East Blue Saga of the manga, which introduces the main characters and their motivations.
