Malala Yousafzai, the young leader who has become an inspiration for women of all ages around the world now has teamed up with Apple’s streaming service “Apple TV+”. This time it will be all about content creation. Malala Yousafzai launched her production company named “Extracurricular” and as The Hollywood Reporter states, has already signed a deal with Apple TV+. Under this deal both Malala and the streaming service will be bringing content that will help make a change in today’s world.
Malala’s production house aims for creating and developing content that will include dramas, comedies, documentaries, animation and also content for children to enjoy. Coming from her, the content most definitely will not only be inspirational but will also help in spreading awareness and educating people about various things in today’s society. The women’s right activist, who also happens to be the youngest Nobel laureate, has mentioned how stories have the power to impact people and families. It also is crucial in building movements in today’s ever changing world, where a small show, a dialogue, a tweet can start a whole new wave and revolution.
Apple and Malala’s relations go way back, as the tech giant earlier became one of the first partners for Yousafzai’s “Malala Fund”. The fund was launched with hopes of strengthening and helping every girl’s rights to 12 years of safe, free and quality education. The organisation met with various local advocates, teachers from various regions across the world where young girls have been facing challenges when it came to education. Apple has been an active part of the noble campaign and has grown to help the Malala’s Fund to go forward with it.
As the recent partnership between Apple and Malala Yousafzai is now confirmed, the young leader now joins the league of creators like Oprah Winfrey, Martin Scorsese, Idris Elba, Octavia Spencer, Kumail Nanjiani and many more.
