Malayalam film ‘John Luther‘ released in theatres way back on 27th May, 2022. The film received appreciation from audiences, critics, trade and industry insiders, for its unique premise and gripping narrative. Numerous viewers who missed watching the film in the theatres have been waiting eagerly for ‘John Luther’ to begin streaming on OTT. Well, they’ll be glad to know that after a wait of more than two months, John Luther is finally releasing on OTT. The film will release not on one but two different platforms – one in India, and one for viewers abroad.
Jayasurya‘s Malayalam film ‘John Luther’ will release in India on Manorama Max. It will simultaneously release on the exclusive South cinema OTT, Simply South, for viewers outside India. Both OTT platforms will begin streaming ‘John Luther’ on the same day, that is August 5.
‘John Luther’ is a thriller film, centred on a dedicated cop who loses his hearing in an accident in the course of an investigation. He is simultaneously investigating the case of a missing teacher. Both cases are hampered due to his hearing defect. The plot then introduces a psychopathic killer, along with twists in the tale. John Luther is an edge-of-the-seat thriller that will delight fans of mystery thrillers.
John Luther is written and directed by debutant director, Abhijith Joseph. It stars Jayasurya, Athmeeya Rajan, Drishya Raghunath, Deepak Parambol, Siddique and Sreelakshmi in pivotal roles.
