The Malayalam comedy movie ‘Neymar’ will be available to watch on OTT soon. It will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar on the 28th of July. You will be able to watch the movie in four languages: Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
The film is directed by Sudhi Maddison and produced by Padma Uday. It stars actors like Mathew Thomas, Naslen K. Gafoor, Johny Antony, Shammi Thilakan, Vijayaraghavan and more.
The movie tells the story of a young boy named Kunjava who wants to draw the attention of his classmate Dona. His friend suggests that he should get a pet so that he can impress Dona. Kunjava meets a cute little street dog in the road and decides to take it home. But everything changes afterwards and the dog becomes an inevitable part of the family. The members of the family are supporters of the Brazil football team and they name the dog ‘Neymar’.
There are many similar films on the same subject and nothing makes ‘Neymar’ extraordinary. And the movie is quite predictable as well but it still is good for a one time watch and you will not get bored throughout the movie. Despite Neymar being his directorial debut, Sudhi Maddison manages to create a quite good feel good comedy and if you are looking for a light hearted simple movie, you can watch it.
Neymar had its theatrical release in May this year and received mixed reviews. If you are a fan of comedy movies or movies on pets, you should go for it. The movie will have its OTT premiere on the 28th of July on Disney+Hotstar.
