Malvi Malhotra‘s traumatizing experience is known to everyone. Last year, she went through horrible circumstances when she was stabbed by a man for rejecting his proposal. Four months of trying her best to heal, Malvi is now back to work with her digital debut in ‘Geisha.’
The Udaan actor, while talking about her upcoming projects, said, “I have done two music videos which will be released soon. One of them has been sung by Bhoomi Trivedi and the other one has been sung by Kunal Ganjawala. I have also shot for a Tamil short film which will stream on Amazon Prime.”
She also spoke about her role in ‘Geisha’ and said, “I am very excited about this and currently shooting for it. Geisha is a Japanese term and it’s a very unique title for the show. I am quite fascinated with the name. I am playing the lead in this series and my character’s name is Divya Sharma. She is a small town girl who comes to Bombay to become an actress and the show narrates the struggle she faces. The viewers will get to see the journey of an actress from struggle to reaching the top and to downfall again.”
Malvi, during her interviews, repeatedly expressed her happiness. She said being back on set feels refreshing and working makes her soul happy. About her OTT debut, she said, “I would say TV is a closed medium. TV shows sometimes are dragging and it runs for ages. The audience likes to watch finite series. In web series actors can work on specific scripts which do not change, this space gives you the freedom and in coming years there will be more and more web platforms.” Well, Ms Malhotra is a fighter and we wish her nothing but success for her future!
