Malayalam superstar Mammootty has revealed the second poster for his upcoming action comedy film ‘Turbo’. The Malayalam film will tentatively release in May 2024, though nothing has been announced yet. Filming wrapped for Turbo early this week, with the movie now going into post-production.
The new poster for Turbo shows Mammootty sitting bare-chested on the floor of a police station, flanked by two men, similarly dressed. This new Turbo poster is in stark contrast to the first poster of the film, revealed back in November 2023. Mammootty looked suave and urban in that one, while he looks distinctly bedraggled in the new poster. The new poster leaves one intrigued regarding the plot of Turbo.
The makers have described Turbo as an action film, with a touch of humour. The movie is written by Midhun Manuel Thomas, writer and director of the hit film, Anjaam Pathira. Thomas is fresh off directing this year’s decently successful film ‘Abraham Ozler’. Turbo is directed by Vysakh, who’s earlier directed Mammootty in Pokkiri Raja and Madhura Raja.
Turbo has amped up considerable excitement for one major reason – it stars the compelling Kannada actor Raj B. Shetty in a pivotal role. The actor has enthralled every film-lover with his recent movies, Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, Toby and Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye. Besides Mammootty and Raj B. Shetty, Turbo stars actress Anjana Jayaprakash and Telugu actor Sunil.
Turbo is produced by Mammootty’s own production house, Mammootty Kampany. It will be distributed by his son Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films. Justin Varghese has composed the music for Turbo.
