Probably, when you begin to look at it as another story about a middle-aged guy who has commitment issues and not as an extension of Manmadhudu, the reactions wouldn’t have been as harsh, during the time of the release.
Save a few jarring sequences in the garb of comedy, Nagarjuna’s poor makeup and desperate efforts to live upto the age of the role, Manmadhudu 2 isn’t a bad watch at all. The emotional connect may be amiss, but Rahul Ravindran extracts a heartfelt performance from Rakul Preet, whose styling, personality is top-notch through the film.
Now playing on Netflix, watch the light-hearted film with an open mind and you may be in for a reasonable time.
