Zee5 has dropped a new promo teaser for its upcoming original film ‘Bandaa’ and this Manoj Bajpayee starrer is all about a common man’s standalone fight against a godman. Helmed by Apoorv Singh Karki, ‘Bandaa’ is a direct-to-digital film that premiere soon only on Zee5.
As per the off-screen narration in Bajpayee’s voice, he takes up a legal fight against a godman whom he claims to be nothing less than an evil man who has committed a heinous crime and demands a death penalty for him.
‘Bandaa’ promo towards the end shows side profiles of a spectacled Manoj Bajpayee and the bearded godman with both facing in opposition directions, signifying the battle for truth and justice between them.
Based on true events and claimed to be the trial of the century, ‘Bandaa’ is an intense courtroom drama that follows a long fought legal battle by a lawyer who alone stands up alone for truth and justice against a godman.
Directed by Karki and written by Deepak Kingrani, Zee5’s ‘Bandaa’ stars Manoj Bajpayee, Kaustav Sinha, Surya Mohan Kulshrestha, Nikhil Pandey, Priyanka Setia, Jaihind Kumar and Durga Sharma.
Produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Vishal Gurnani and Asif Sheikh, ‘Bandaa’ reunites Suparn S Varma and Manoj Bajpayee after ‘The Family Man’.
