Margot Robbie Is Associated With New Sims 4 Project

Now, we have to address the new truth of the industry: Video Game Adaptations are definitely the new CBM, and among the long lineup of new films, Sims 4 emerges as one of the most exciting prospects in this genre.

Recent data suggests that Sims 4 has a user base of 70 million, with average users peaking around 10 million. Though it is experiencing a decline in popularity, it still retains around 50,000 users. Additionally, the game has gained significantly more users outside North America, targeting a more global audience.

Amidst this wave of adaptations, Margot Robbie, along with her company LuckyChap, is now associated with the project as a producer. Reflecting on her previous producing experience, projects like Barbie and Promising Young Woman stand out as ambitious endeavors by Robbie.

In terms of direction, Kate Herron, director of Loki’s season one, will be taking the helm with her experience not only in Loki but also in Sex Education. She will also serve as the writer for the new project.

Not many details about the project are available yet, but there are some major speculations about the storyline of the show. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first attempt at adapting the Sims franchise. Fox announced their attempt to adapt the show in 2007, but after being stuck in production for a decade, it was eventually canceled in 2018. Could this be a bad omen?
