Mel Gibson is returning to film direction with his new film ‘Flight Risk’ and it will be starring Mark Wahlberg in the lead role. It is a aviation thriller, and the screenplay of the movie is written by Jared Rosenberg.
Mel Gibson is known for his movies like ‘Braveheart’, ‘Apocalypto’, ‘Hacksaw Ridge’. He is an extraordinary director and actor with fans all over the world. Due to multiple controversies he sometimes takes a break from filmmaking. The 2016 movie Hacksaw Ridge was his last directorial venture.
The movie tells the story of an aging and psychotic hitman who is employed to neutralize an informant. He goes on to the plane that the informant is going in and tricks an intelligence agent into persuading the pilot to take the plane to a remote place.
Wahlberg and Gibson have previously worked together in movies like ‘Father Stu’ and ‘Daddy’s Home 2’. Mark Wahlberg is known for his strongman roles in ‘The Big Hit’, ‘The Italian Job’ etc. This movie will be a bit different from his earlier filmography and the makers are rooting for the uniqueness of the story.
The movie is being produced under the banner of Davis Entertainment, Icon Productions and Hammerstone Studios and it will be distributed by Lionsgate.
