Marquee TV, an OTT platform founded by businessmen based out of London and New York, promises to be unique from its streaming counterparts with its content dedicated to art and culture alone. Describing itself as Netflix for the arts, the platform will boast over a thousand hours of content comprising dance, opera and theatre plays and documentaries by filmmakers across the globe.
The platform, available on the web, Roku, AppleTV, Amazon Fire, Android TV and mobile devices, borrows its content from several reputed art institutions and organisations including the Royal Opera House, Royal Shakespeare Company and the Bolshoi.
The platform has teamed up with an organisation named ViewLift for its OTT solution that promises to be lightweight while managing to attract eyeballs as well. India, with its rich diversity and multiplicity in terms of art forms could be a treasure trove for the platform. Don’t you agree?
