After its theatrical run Telugu political satire film ‘Martin Luther King’ directed by Puja Kolluru in her directorial debut is all set for its world digital premiere on SonyLIV later this month in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil.
‘Martin Luther King’ is the Telugu adaptation of the widely acclaimed Tamil film ‘Mandela’ that was shortlisted as one among the 14 Indian films to be nominated for Best Foreign Film at the 94th Academy Awards. ‘Mandela’ also won two National Film Awards.
As for the Telugu version titled as ‘Martin Luther King’, the film follows a man without an identity or name who is suddenly wooed by two warring groups when he gets a Voter ID. Will he reap the benefits of his privilege or use it as a tool for social change forms the crux of the story.
Directed and edited by Puja Kolluru, ‘Martin Luther King’ stars Sampoornesh Babu, Naresh, Sharanya Pradeep, Venkatesh Maha, and Goparaju Ramanna among others.
Smaran Sai has composed music for the film with cinematography by Deepak Yaragera. ‘Martin Luther King’ is produced by S. Sashikanth, Chakravarthy, Ramachandra and Venkatesh Maha. A joint production of YNOT Productions, Reliance Entertainment and Mahayana Motion Pictures, ‘Martin Luther King’ will premiere on SonyLIV on 29th November in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil.
