Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ Gets A Release Date

After getting delayed due to the pandemic, Apple Studios’ highly anticipated Western crime drama movie ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ has finally got a theatrical release date. The star-studded film helmed by Academy Award-winning veteran filmmaker Martin Scorsese is now slated for its theatrical release on 20th October 2023.

Before that, the movie is expected to have its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May followed by a limited theatrical release on 6th October 2023. And later, the movie will start streaming worldwide on the Apple TV+ OTT platform. However, the streaming date is not yet confirmed.

To say that ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ boasts of a talented cast would be an understatement as it features powerhouse performers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser, John Lithgow, and Lily Gladstone, amongst others.

‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ has been adapted for the screen by Oscar-winning screenwriter Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, Munich, Dune) and is based on David Grann’s 2017 nonfiction book of the same name. The movie revolves around the mysterious serial killings of the members of the Osage tribe in the 1920s United States and the following investigation involving J. Edgar Hoover, who was FBI’s first director for almost 48 years.

‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ would be the sixth time Martin Scorsese would be collaborating with Leonardo DiCaprio as the two had previously worked together in ‘Gangs of New York’, ‘The Aviator’, ‘The Departed’, ‘Shutter Island, and ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, etc. Stay tuned to Binged for the latest updates on Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’.
