Talking about entertainment in Comic Book Films, Deadpool is definitely up there as one of the most beloved pieces of cinema. And as the third installment, Deadpool does make a lot of promises and in this battle, he won’t be alone.
Firstly, Shawn Levy will make his debut in the franchise and his prior experience with Ryan Reynolds in Free Guy and The Adam Project. His experience in comedy will definitely be an important asset.
Secondly, he will also be completing the trifecta of working with Reynolds.
But, some intelligent man once said, “What’s in a name?” The answer is, complications of trademarks.
As of now, Marvel has registered 4 names for the upcoming Deadpool projects as trademarks, and one of them has the possibility to be the final name of the project.
The first one on the list is obviously the most popular one, and that is Deadpool 3. There are two peculiar names on the list as well, and they are Deadpool & Friend as well as Deadpool & Friends. The last one on the list is Deadpool & Wolverine.
Now, if they want to keep the theme intact, Deadpool 3 is definitely the shout, but again, the Deadpool franchise might play on the nostalgic factor of Wolverine.
So, on paper, Deadpool & Wolverine might be the most sensible one, but again, Marvel, with their strong advertisement game, can make anything work if it has Deadpool in it.
You can simply discard the other two as they might have to do with some merchandise.
