Marvel hailed ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ as the first-ever horror project of the MCU before its release. However, the final product turned out different from what the fans expected. In other words, we can say that it pissed them off. And it looks like the same may happen to Doctor Strange 3. According to some of the recent rumours on Twitter, Marvel Studios may release Doctor Strange 3 before Avengers: Secret Wars.
Some found ‘Multiverse of Madness’ enjoyable. On the other hand, a large section of the MCU fanbase lambasted the film. Sam Raimi’s directional focused less on the Multiverse and more on Wanda’s problems and pain. And the whole Illuminati sequence turned out to be the film’s biggest disappointment. Yes, Wanda Maximoff is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe. But there is no way she can finish off Charles Xavier and Reed Richards as quickly as she does in MoM. Additionally, the entire film seemed so rushed.
The plan of releasing Doctor Strange 3 before Secret Wars means only one thing: Marvel has to fast-track the production of the former. Or the executives could decide to postpone the releases of both The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.
We witnessed Clea in the MoM’s mid-credits scene. She informs Strange about the incursion he caused because of his actions. Also, she asks for his help to fix it. But will Strange help her? Or will he turn evil? Well, he used Darkhold to dreamwalk in MoM and got a third eye in return. Fans may see him struggling with the addiction of frequently using Darkhold in the third DS entry, leading to his transformation into the evil Doctor Strange. Who knows?
A lot can happen in Doctor Strange 3. But Marvel must not treat it like MoM. Kevin Feige and his team can right all the wrongs in the third instalment, even if it takes postponing The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. After all, quality prevails over quantity every time. Stay tuned for more updates.
