Marvel Shows ‘Echo’, ‘Agatha’, ‘X-Men ‘97’ Get New Premiere Dates

Multiple Marvel shows have just got their new release dates at Disney+. The decision of the latest shuffle has come amidst the backdrop of the ongoing strikes happening in the US. But that does not seem to be the only reason because the stakeholders apparently want to spread out its upcoming titles coming out in the future.

As per the reshuffle report (via THR), the second season of the critically admired animated series ‘What If…?’ will now be released in December end around Christmas day instead of the previously planned early 2023 release. The animated anthology series shows us how things would have turned out to be, in case major incidents in the MCU happened differently. For instance, if Tony Stark was rescued by Killmonger in the first Iron Man film. And what if Captain Carter had become the first avenger instead of Steve Rogers, etc.

Another Marvel show which has been delayed is the Hawkeye spin-off series ‘Echo’. The show, which was earlier slated for a November 2023 release, is now expected to premiere in January 2024. The show’s story will take place after the events shown in ‘Hawkeye’ and will feature Alaqua Cox as the titular Native American superhero Echo, who goes back to her hometown and reconnects with her past.

Moreover, the ‘WandaVision’ spin-off ‘Agatha: Darkhold Diaries’ (earlier titled Agatha: House of Harkness / Agatha: Coven of Chaos) starring Kathryn Hahn has been shifted to early fall 2024 instead of the previously scheduled late 2023 release date.

One more Marvel show – the animated series ‘X-Men ‘97’ is now set to premiere in early 2024 instead of its originally scheduled debut this year in fall 2023.

So, as of now, the second season of the superhit series ‘Loki’ is the only title which has not received a new release date. ‘Loki Season-2’ starring Tom Hiddleston as the titular protagonist will be released on 6th October 2023 on Disney+.

Besides, the release schedules of other Marvel shows namely ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, ‘Wonder Man’, and ‘Ironheart’ have also been affected amid the ongoing strikes. Their confirmed release dates are yet to be revealed.
