Though the man has been working as one of the greatest spies under the British Secret Service, the 007 moniker was the biggest mystery in entertainment, with the world asking, “Where is our new James Bond?”
Now, we might have a breakthrough.
Daniel Craig practically mastered the role, and as he left the franchise, he also left a massive void, which Aaron Taylor-Johnson might now be poised to fill. When it comes to big-time projects, Aaron isn’t a newcomer to the game; you might remember his role as Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Speaking of Bond, there were some major names attached to the 007 title. Henry Cavill was one of the biggest speculations, showing ample excitement himself: “Would love to play Bond, it would be very, very exciting.” From physique to profile, Cavill would have been a no-brainer.
Damson Idris was another choice, young and an actor with great potential. Idris would have brought some diversity to the role, potentially nailing the character.
Tom Hardy and Idris Elba were also speculated names, but with the recent shakeups, Aaron Taylor-Johnson might just be the final call.
Sources confirming the role state, “Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table, and they are waiting to hear back.” The update comes as an affirmative one.
Even one source said, “Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days, and they can start preparing for the big announcement.”
So, if this comes true, Marvel’s Kraven the Hunter will have gold in his hand. A character like Bond can launch anyone to instant stardom, and if Aaron nails it, his career will be simply iconic.
