Marvel’s Blade kink is not devoid of any controversies, from the actors to the release dates, everything smells fishy and there is practically no clarity to it.
Marvel right now is having one of the best runs they have ever had, probably one of the best runs any franchise has ever had. But Blade might slow it down.
During the Netflix era of Marvel, Blade did create a good audience; violence was one of its main USPs. And it is soon to return on the screens, but Blade is practically surrounded by uncertainty.
Though Mahershala Ali, our new Blade, states that he is happy with the direction of the film. But despite all this, Blade is reportedly hit with some delay, which is nothing new for the franchise.
Previously, the film was supposed to be finished by November 2023 but was struck by a delay and was shifted to September 2024. Then Disney managed to update the release date to a ‘new’ February 14, 2025, but that shifted too; it is now officially releasing on November 7th, 2025.
But the misery isn’t over.
Recent updates say that Blade can be shifted to 2026, possibly taking six to seven years from casting to actual execution. Marvel is definitely pulling off a Flash on Blade; will it take the same reaction? That is the question.
The show is best accompanied by controversies as at one point, it was speculated that Ali even exited the project because of a bad script. But again, as it’s all fixed now, we might expect Blade to be out in a ‘decade’ or so.
