Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again Adds Clark Johnson To The Cast

Clark Johnson is set to appear in a recurring role in Marvel’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Disney+ series, and will also helm two episodes of the upcoming show. His inclusion in the series’ cast has not been officially announced yet. But several reports have claimed that the actor will play a character named “Cherry” in the show.

Developed by Chris Ord and Matt Corman, Born Again will feature Charlie Cox as the Man Without Fear. Daredevil’s alter ego, Matt Murdock, is a blind lawyer who resides in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. Returning along with Cox is Vincent D’Onofrio, who will reprise his character of Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, in the show. Additionally, fans will see Jon Bernthal donning the character of Frank Castle, aka Punisher, again.

It will be interesting to see how much the forthcoming Disney+ entry will follow Netflix’s canon of Daredevil, given the removal of Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson, who portrayed Karen Page and Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, respectively, in Netflix’s adaptation of the superhero character. Also, Sandrine Holt has replaced Ayelet Zurer to play Vanessa Fisk.

Clark Johnson is prominent for helming episodes of well-known tv shows, such as Homeland, The Walking Dead, Luke Cage, Your Honor, and many more.

Daredevil: Born Again will be the longest MCU series in terms of the number of episodes, consisting of 18 episodes. Michael Cuesta will direct the first episode. The series will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar in early 2024. Stay tuned for more updates.
