So, today is the release of Marvel’s Loki Finale and just like the show, it will be nothing less than amazing. We won’t give you any kind of Loki spoilers here, so you can read on carefree. As we all know, after a year without content, Marvel is now going full ahead into bringing new content as quickly as possible. Since January Marvel has been releasing show after show and all of them have been with each other constantly with groundbreaking records. Now, as Loki ends today, fans need to get ready for Marvel’s next, which is “What If…?”
Marvel’s “What If…?” is releasing on the 11th of August, which is now less than a month away. What If…? is a completely different show and in no way will fans feel it’s similar to any of its past shows. For starters, the series is Marvel Studios’ first animated series, and secondly, the show is based on an alternate reality. So, when we say an alternate reality, we mean “what if” certain situations and events in the MCU changed, if someone else was there, in place of the actual person we know. This would completely change the way we look at the MCU now.
In a recent interview, Tom Hiddleston was found talking about his season finale and also one thing led to the other, and there came a question about Marvel’s next series, “What If…?”. Now, fans of MCU and Tom Hiddleston know that he isn’t the man that reveals details about these projects, especially since these are the crucial ones. But this time he gave us a hint, we can’t call that a spoiler because it revealed nothing about the show. He mentioned how What If…? has the capacity, can change and affect the future Marvel projects that are lined up after the series’ release.
Now, that in itself is a big statement, we know “What If…?” will be all things crazy and that affecting the MCU will be interesting to see. The 10 episode series is supposed to explore an evil Dr. Strange, T’Challa as Starlord, Captain Carter, Ultron completing his mission and so many others. We cannot think how this can get linked to the future MCU projects but we never know, it is MCU after all, anything is possible. But, there has to be some truth to it because the villain for “Dr. Strange in “The Multiverse of Madness” has been spotted in the trailer of “What If…?” and there might be others like that.
Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel has clearly mentioned that the projects of the upcoming phases will be created in such a way that fans who didn’t watch the series can still enjoy the movies released in theatres. So, that is somehow a relief, but again the factor is that so many things have been covered in these last 3 series and we are expecting, even more, to be covered in the upcoming series, that it would be impossible to not connect the movies and series at least somewhere.
So now, with all the possibilities running free in our head, the only way to understand and clear all doubts is to carefully watch all the upcoming Marvel releases and see how and which things are connected.
