Marvel’s coming in strong next year. This year might have been one dull year for the MCU, but next one if all goes perfectly alright we will have a whole bunch of new series and movies launching that will start off the Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We all have dealt with our sorrows when Phase 3 ended and it was one massive heartbreak for all of us. Earlier all the other phases seemed to merge into one another as the characters were still there, but the Phase 4 will completely be different, it will be almost entering a new era for us as we move ahead with it.
As Disney+ has already revealed the upcoming slate for 2021 and it has a bunch to offer, we will be seeing an animated series of 10 episodes called “What If…?” This is based on the comic by Marvel of the same name and it will introduce one of Marvel’s famous characters called the Watcher or Uatu. The series will take you on a journey of all the what ifs, that one can think of. It shows what would have happened if this incident wouldn’t have happened in the first place itself.
In the short trailer that is released, we see Peggy Carter taking on the serum in place of Steve Rogers. We see T’Challa being introduced in Guardians of Galaxy and shockingly we see an antagonistic Captain America, where Captain turns into an ice zombie for having landed in ice years ago and Bucky Barnes, which is Winter Soldier, fighting him off.
This is one interesting piece of series that a fan should definitely watch and one cannot deny that it couldn’t have happened, all these iconic moments could in fact actually have happened. That is why this shows how interestingly the characters could have changed and we would have been witnessing history that has gone by completely in a different manner.
This is created by A. C. Bradley and directed by Bryan Andrews. Jeffery Wright stars as the Watcher and will be narrating the series. It is being said that a second 10-episode season is already in the making, while the first season is supposed to drop by during the middle of 2021.
