The biggest Hindi release in the month of January this year is Fighter. Needless to say, the movie set on a patriotic tone stars Bollywood superstars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Although they have been in the industry for quite many years, they are still a fresh pair.
Yesterday was the birthday of Hrithik Roshan and we needn’t say how mammoth of a star he is. But, the makers have lost it again.
Normally if the film’s release is around the birthday of the star then they make use of the auspicious day. Take the case of Shahrukh Khan, Jawan started streaming on Netflix India on his birthday. Also, in 2022, makers dropped the teaser of Pathan on his birthday.
So it made all the sense that the makers would release the trailer of Fighter yesterday but they missed it. In fact, they would be releasing it on the 15th of January, which happens to be Makar Sankranti. Now, in the South of India, Sankranti films are a big deal. But, Sankranti for Hindi films has never been a thing.
So, it is crazy and foolish that the makers failed to milk the birthday of the leading star. If the editing of the trailer is pending then it must have been taken care of…after all the film is merely 15 days away from getting released.
