Master Of The Air On Apple TV: The New TV Classic?

Whatever Apple TV is cooking, whatever spice they are now using, is creating something so delicious that you can’t really imagine. And with their production quality along with the brilliant heads of Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, “Master of the Air” might be the next example of a TV classic.

So, what is the deal?

Based on the book “Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany,” the story focuses on the scenario of World War 2. Imagine it as a kamikaze mission as the young pilots who risked their lives during some missions to fight the German army.

Now, talking about World War films, there are a plethora of them. A film like “All Quiet On The Western Front” to “Saving Private Ryan,” the films have worked a lot in this genre, but in terms of television, there is definitely a vacant space.

And the early reviews are saying that everything about the series screams success. Some are even comparing it to the Prime television era as Apple TV keeps on producing hit after hit shows. Even to promote the series, Apple TV released the first five minutes of the series on social media, and it looks really promising.

And the cast, that list itself is mind-boggling, somewhat of the length of Oppenheimer’s cast and is grand too if you keep in mind that it’s a TV series.

Unlike most large cast war films, you won’t be having a problem with character build-up as the series focuses much on character build-up as well. And besides the acting part, the camera work and the sound come out as two of the most essential aspects of any war film, and as a series, it manages to exceed expectations.

The vintage feel, the tension, the dialogues, and the stakes—open your eyes, and you are dropped into that era. And for a series like this, the look does create a good environment on the road ahead.

Apple TV will be streaming this from January 26th, and after the first two episodes get dropped once, there will be one episode every week, so Netflix fans, don’t lose patience.
