Masters Of The Air Early Reactions Are In, Check Them Out

Masters of the Air is one of the most highly anticipated shows from Apple TV+ this year. It stars the likes of Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Barry Keoghan, Ncuti Gatwa, and more. Serving as a companion series to Band of Brothers (2001) and The Pacific (2010), Masters of the Air tells the story of the members of the 100th Bomb Group, a B-17 Flying Fortress unit, during the Second World War. The show takes inspiration from Donald L. Miller’s 2007 novel of the same name.

Early reviews of Masters of the Air have surfaced online. The show will release worldwide on January 26, 2024.

While it has managed to earn mostly positive reactions from critics, the series ultimately fails to reach the heights of Band of Brothers and The Pacific. The cast members’ performances and action sequences have received praise from critics. However, the show’s heavy dependence on action sequences and repetitive storytelling was poorly received.

In its review, Rolling Stone has declared the latest Austin Butler starrer “a WWII misfire.” According to IndieWire, the show is “A Beautiful Mess of a War Epic.”

On Rotten Tomatoes, the show currently has a ‘fresh’ 82% rating (based on 11 reviews). Although, this rating may go down in the next few days.
