The official trailer for the new Hotstar original ‘Mathagam’ has been released now. The first poster had been released earlier and it caused quite a buzz in the internet. It is a Tamil thriller series and the cast includes actors like Atharvaa Murali, Mani Kandan, Nikhila Vimal, Dhivyadharshini Neelakandan, Gautham Menon, Dilnaz Irani, Prasath Murugesan, Darbuka Siva and many others. The series is directed by Prasath Murugesan. He is known for directing Kidaari.
Mathagam will be simultaneously released in seven languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada and Marathi. It is quite good for a regional series to be released in so many languages.
The teaser looks pretty good and the series will be telling the story of the eternal conflict between good and evil. Mathagam has a police officer named Ashwath Rathnakumar who will be investigating a case along with his team. There will be much suspense and thrill in the series and as we can guess from the list of actors, the performances will be pretty good too. Atharvaa is known for films like Kuruthi Aatam, Otthaiku Ottha and Nirangal Moondru. The music for is quite upbeat and the cinematography of the clips looks good.
Mathagam will most probably be the story of one long night and with too much crime and investigation. Atharvaa has shot to quick fame with Navarasaa and hopefully this project too will be a successful one. Other details have not been announced yet. The release date will be revealed soon.
