Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson To Team Up For Apple TV+ Comedy

Alright, alright, alright! The leading men of HBO’s True Detective Season 1, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, are reuniting for an upcoming Apple TV+ comedy.

The duo will play a fictionalised version of themselves in the show. Both characters will try to spend time together, along with their families, on a Texas ranch. This scenario will also test their so-called friendship. The series will consist of a total of 10 episodes.

Created by David West Read, the forthcoming comedy series is being produced by Skydance Television. And the leading duo of McConaughey and Harrelson will co-executively produce the project along with Read. Other executive producers include Matt Thunell, Dana Goldberg, David Ellison, Jeremy Plager, and Bill Bost.

Harrelson and McConaughey last shared the screen on HBO’s True Detective, where they played Marty Hart and Rust Cohle, respectively. These characters try to solve the murder case of a prostitute as Louisiana State Police homicide detectives.

Apart from the upcoming Apple TV+ project, Read’s The Big Door Prize series is all set to premiere on March 29 on the same streaming platform. The showrunner has also served as one of the executive producers for Schitt’s Creek. Stay tuned for more updates.
