Melissa Barrera, Riley Keough, and Nicholas Hoult will headline the cast of ‘The One’, an upcoming flick from director Jaki Bradley and writer Kevin Armento. Apart from these talented performers, we will also see Lana Condor in the film’s cast.
Barrera plays Taylor in ‘The One’. The story revolves around her efforts to find true love. She even participates in a reality dating show, making a last-ditch attempt to get what she wants. The final moments of the competition put her against two other women. All these ladies have to win the heart of Mason, played by Hoult. However, the fine line between reality and the show’s artificiality begins to fade as the show progresses. The journey of discovering true love soon transforms into a toxic obsession, and rivalry turns into betrayal.
Jaki Bradley will helm the forthcoming film. She is best known for her work in Last Ferry (2019) and The Big Ask (2020). Barrera rose to global prominence after playing Sam Carpenter in Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023).
Hoult recently shared the screen with Nicolas Cage’s Dracula in Renfield. He played the titular character in this one. Although, it tanked at the box office. On the other hand, Keough led Prime Video’s Daisy Jones & The Six, which premiered on March 3. And Condor is well-known for portraying Lara Jean Covey in both ‘To All the Boys’ movies.
Keough and Hoult will produce ‘The One’ via their respective production houses, Felix Culpa and Dead Duck Films. Stay tuned for more updates.
