If you are a regular reader at Binged then you must be aware that Amazon India invested heavily in purchasing assets of MX Player. This was not a complete purchase but Amazon bought a significant stake in MX Player whose track record was going south every year.
Just to give you an idea, MX Player was valued at $500 Million in 2019 and only $100 Million in 2024. Yes, it is true, if the reports are to be believed.
But, Amazon didn’t buy MX Player for Prime Video. Why would they?
Rather, they took this step as a measure to boost Amazon miniTV. Lately, Amazon has been investing quite a lot in miniTV through international dubbing, licensed shows and more.
So, the latest update is the fact that Amazon is moving its miniTV shows on MX Player. Yes, it’s true.
Looks like all the free miniTV content will be available soon on MX Player and soon we may see a boost of both miniTV and MX Player.
