Mia Goth will finally make her MCU debut with ‘Blade’. The actress has joined the cast for the Marvel superhero movie and she will be seen opposite Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali. Mahershala Ali will be playing the titular character but it is not clear who Mia will be playing.
The film will be directed by Yann Demange and Michael Strubbary has written the screenplay. Other details on the project are yet to be disclosed.
Mia Goth is a popular British actor known for her roles in movies like ‘A Cure For Wellness’ and ‘Nymphomaniac’ or the recent A24 horrors like ‘X’. Fans had been expecting her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a long time and looks like the wait is over now. Mia and Ali both will be making their Marvel debut with ‘Blade’ and fans are excited that they will now witness these two talented actors in the MCU.
Mahershala Ali will be playing the titular character of Blade. Blade was first featured in the Marvel comics with Tomb Of Dracula in 1973. It was initially a supporting character. Wisley Snipes starred in a movie playing Blade and then the movie was followed by a few sequels as well and the popularity of Blade as a unique character rose more. Blade is a cross of human and vampire as his mother was bit by a vampire during childbirth and that affected his unique powers. Blade has heightened senses, great martial ability and superhuman strength and immunity.
Mia Goth was last seen in the A24 movie ‘Pearl’ that came out in Septemer last year. Pearl is actually the sequel of another horror movie ‘X’ which came out in 2022 as well. She will next be seen in the final installment of the X series, that is the MaXXXine. And reportedly she will also star in the Frankenstein movie by Guillermo Del Toro.
