Mike Flanagan’s Next ‘Midnight Mass’ On Netflix Looks Spooky As Hell!

Mike Flanagan’s (‘The Haunting of Hill House, Oculus) ‘Midnight Mass’ is coming to Netflix this fall and the global streaming giant has started dropping spooky snippets from the supernatural horror series.

Announced in the summer of 2019, ‘Midnight Mass’ follows the story of an isolated island community that experiences miraculous events – and frightening omens – after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest.

The snippets shared are of a spooky place named Crockett Island and offers glimpses of a dimly lit bungalow, a woman walking on the beach in the dark while its pouring rain, a beach with dead animals lying around while birds feeding on them and more.

While a full teaser will be coming out later, these small peaks convey the eerie, spine-chilling theme of the series very effectively. ‘Midnight Mass’ stars Flanagan’s wife Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas, Samantha Sloyan, Michael Trucco, Zach Gilford, Hamish Linklater, Annabeth Gish and Rahul Kohli among others.

The 7 part series is created and directed by Mike Flanagan who has earlier made ‘Hanuting of Hill House’ for Netflix. Following its success Netflix had also ordered a second season of the horror anthology, entitled ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’.

‘Midnight Mass’ is part of Netflix’s multi-year deal with Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy of Intrepid Pictures. Macy along with Flanagan will executive produce the series.
