Talking about the world of animation, “Across The Spider-Verse” manages to be a god figure in that field. It earned a significantly huge sum of money at the box office and garnered an insanely positive response. Sony Pictures Animation is releasing a new animated short called “The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story” on March 27th.
The story revolves around Miles Morales, also known as Spider-Man, dealing with his daily life struggles. The short focuses on how Miles copes with being a teenager, friend, student, and superhero, all while battling his own anxiety.
Directed by Jarelle Dampier, the short shows Miles facing a panic attack and learning to confront his fears. The release of “The Spider Within” is in partnership with the Kevin Love Fund, which focuses on mental health awareness. It will be part of a new lesson plan called “The Hero Within,” which helps students explore their own mental health through creative activities.
“The Spider Within” was created as part of Sony Pictures Animation and Sony Pictures Imageworks’ program called Leading and Empowering New Storytellers (LENS).
Overall, “The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story” aims to start conversations about mental health and encourage people to seek support when they need it.
