Millie Bobby Brown’s Damsel Leads Netflix’s Streaming Charts

Netflix’s latest dark fantasy flick, Damsel, is currently leading the platform’s streaming charts. The Millie Bobby Brown starrer has gained the top spot on the streaming giant’s Global Top 10 (Films) list.

As of March 10, Damsel earned over 64.8 million hours of viewing and more than 35.3 million views, taking a significant lead over Code 8 Part II, which stars Robbie Amell and Stephen Amell. The second entry to the Code 8 franchise is in the second position, with over 19.8 million hours of viewing and more than 11.9 million views. Adam Sandler’s Spaceman is in the third position with over 10.8 million views.

While Damsel has become a humungous hit among Netflix viewers, critical reception towards the latest Millie Bobby Brown starrer is mostly mixed. As of now, the film has a ‘rotten’ score of 58% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 93 reviews.

Helmed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, Damsel stars Millie Bobby Brown, Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Robin Wright, and Angela Bassett. Brown plays Elodie, who accepts a marriage proposal from Queen Isabelle of Aurea (Wright) to marry Prince Henry (Robinson). She soon realises that her marriage is a part of the Queen’s plan to use her as bait for the dragon. Isabelle does this to repay her family’s ancient debts. Stream Damsel on Netflix.
