“Minari” Ready To Hit Indian Screens, Set For Clash With “Voyagers”!

After Nomadland, it’s time for another movie from the Oscars. This time, it’s the Oscar nominated “Minari”. Minari is all set to release in India and PVR is the one bringing it to their screens. The movie will be released on the 16th of April, 2021. Also, this is not the only movie that will be released on this date. PVR is also exclusively releasing “Voyagers” on the 16th of April.

Minari received various accolades. The movie earned six nominations in the 93rd Academy Awards for the Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Score categories. The movie won the Golden Globes for the Best Foreign Language Film. The movie received critical acclaim and has even been declared as one of the best movies for 2020.

The movie stars Steven Yuen, Han Ye-ri, Alan Kim, Noel Kate Cho, Youn Yuh-jung and Will Patton. It is directed by Lee Issac Chung. The movie somewhat is a take on Chung’s upbringing in the US. The story follows the journey of a family of South Korean immigrants, who try to make it in rural America in the 1980s.

Besides, Minari, Voyagers will also be gracing the screen on the same date. The movie was set to release back in 2020, but was rescheduled for 2021 release. The movie is a sci-fi thriller that follows the journey of 30 young men and women. Set in the future, as a part of a multigenerational project they all set out to find their new home in space. The mission turns into utter chaos as they spend more and more time inside the spaceship and with each other.

Voyagers” has been described as the “Lord of The Flies” set in space. The movie has an ensemble cast, it stars Lily Rose-Depp, Tye Sheridan, Colin Farrell, Issac Hempstead Wright, Viveik Kalra, Fiona Whitehead and others. The movie is written and directed by Neil Burger.

With two international films on its way, it will definitely be a treat for the fans to watch them in theatres. The rising cases of COVID-19 has made people sceptical, but it might still attract viewers to the theatres wherever the situations are somewhere normal.
